Welcome to Attleboro High School’s Two-Dimensional Art page!
Here you will see artwork from many students participating in various art classes offered by the high school.
On this website, you will primarily see artworks that are two-dimensional (2D), meaning that they are mostly flat and not sculptural (3D) in nature.
Examples of two-dimensional works include: drawings, paintings, and prints.
Examples of materials can include, but are not limited to: pencil, pen, charcoal, pastel, ink, tempera & acrylic paints, and watercolor. Paper can even be used as a medium in the form of collage.
Mission Statement:
In the Visual Arts Department, it is our goal to teach students the technical skills and creative thinking strategies needed to communicate and to create successful works of art.
In today’s increasingly visual society, developing an understanding, appreciation, and skill set in the visual arts is imperative. Exposure to independent thinking, reasoning, and problem solving are vital skills needed in developing the “whole” person. Whether it be in the form of career, family, or personal, any individual will profit from the benefits of arts education in their life.
